Habits are the basis of our successes

Each Monday morning I spend about an hour working out both my personal and business goals for the week. I like goals and I like lists! Yes, some of my friends hold their thumb and finger to their forehead (L) when I talk about them but when I try to do the same back I always use the wrong hand and really do look like a total L.   Anyway, I digress….. weekly goal setting is time well spent and roughly outlines the next seven days.  Allow time for unexpected happenings as well as relax and rest time….also put in a bit of nothing time for the times you  just cant be bothered doing as much. However, like in the last blog, that down time usually spurs one onto doing a lot afterwards; so it is time well spent as long as there is a limit on it.

We are what we repeatedly do.  Excellence therefore, is not an act but a habit

-Aristotle

I really do believe that routine is critical to success.   We spend a great deal of our day doing the same things over and over again- eating, hygiene, cleaning etc. So the more we can make these tasks automatic the better for us and the more time we will have to achieve so much more in life.   Learn from professionals how they clean, model yourself on someone who is doing something the way you would like to and that way you will get the same results as them. If your habits are not working hard enough for you, change them!
